Thanks Alex for your great text. I just wanted to point out one thing: I don't think your considerations about futurology are very fair. Ossip K. Flechtheim has proposed futurology as a systematic and critical approach to futures studies in the 1940s. Although you argue futurology sounds encyclopedic, I think in terms of etymology, it is quite correct as it is about study (logia) and future.

In any case, I like your proposal of using futures and foresight. Just thought you shouldn't be dismissing or discarding futurology without considering Flechtheim's approach.

Also, have you read the book The History of the Future by the French historian Georges Minois? I think you would like it, considering your topics of investigation.
